SPD investigating stabbing at Northeast Albertsons
On 02-06-19 shortly before 10PM, SPD responded to a stabbing incident in the 6500 block of N Nevada. A female in her 70s was located suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Initial information indicates the victim and suspect were not known to each other, and the motive for the attack is unclear. SPD is interviewing witnesses and processing the scene for evidence.
SPD will continue working to develop more suspect information. At this time the culprit is said to be a white male, possibly between the ages of 45-60, thin to medium build, and about 5’10” tall. The suspect may have left in a ‘Subaru-style’ wagon. This is preliminary information which is subject to change as more evidence becomes available.
Any witnesses who have not talked to investigators are urged to call crime check at 509-456-2233, reference case # 2019-20023071.
