Pursuit Throughout Spokane County

10:33 a.m. - Spokane Police Officers, Air 1, Washington State Patrol and Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies were all involved in a pursuit with stolen vehicle.

June 6

SPD Special Victims Unit Arrests Babysitter for Assault

4:30 p.m. - Spokane Police Department Special Victims Unit arrests babysitter for Assault of a Child 1st Degree.

Using Receivership to Create Affordable Housing

4:06 p.m. - Spokane Police Department enters into a stipulated order appointing a receiver over five Grove Community properties.

Termination of SPD Officer

4 p.m. - After the conclusion of an Internal Affairs (IA) investigation, Officer Nick Spolski’s employment with SPD has been terminated, effective immediately.

Stabbing Arrest in Logan Neighborhood

11:38 a.m. - On Wednesday SPD officers responded to the Logan neighborhood for a stabbing. The suspect was arrested for assault and booked into jail.

June 5

Hundreds of Centennial Trail Medallions Stolen

2:58 p.m. - Hundreds of Centennial Trail Medallions have been stolen & damaged in the last few weeks, the financial cost to replace them is still being calculated

New Traffic Enforcement Camera

2:56 p.m. - Drivers in the NW part of town should be cognizant of a new traffic enforcement camera placed at an elementary school in their area.

June 4

Fatality Collision at Garland and Normandie

2:32 p.m. - SPD officers responded to a fatality collision at W Garland Ave and N Normandie St between a motorcycle and a vehicle.

Stolen Truck Recovered

9:25 a.m. - On May 31, 2019 Spokane Police stopped a reported stolen truck downtown. Several people were detained out of the vehicle.
