Argument over parking turns to a fight, leaving two males stabbed.

On Saturday, August 15th 2020, just after 4:00pm, Spokane Police responded to the Witter Aquatic Center near Mission Ave. and Perry St. for a Stabbing.  Police Officers showed up at the aquatic center and found puddles of blood, items and a broken baton but learned the people involved in the incident had left.  Officers contacted witnesses and collected evidence at the scene.

A short time later, police were informed that two different males had arrived at two different local hospitals with stab wounds.  Talking with witnesses and the men involved in the fight, officers learned the incident stemmed from an earlier argument over parking at a different location.   At some point after the argument, both men came in contact with one another at the aquatic center, which resulted in a fight.

During the fight a handgun was displayed but not used.  Both men received stab wounds and other injuries from the fight.  After the fight, each men were taken to the hospitals on their own where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.  Police continue to investigate the incident.

Anyone who was at or near the Whittier Aquatic Center that witnessed the incident and have more information are being asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
