As the City of Spokane’s traffic safety improvement project on the US 195 corridor progresses, work will require Meadowlane Rd. on the west side of US 195 to close Monday, May 11 for approximately 30 days. The “J-turn” installation at the intersection will provide acceleration and deceleration lanes to improve safety, reduce congestion, and help prepare the area for future growth. A new sidewalk along south Meadowlane Rd. between Eagle Ridge Blvd. and Pheasant Bluff Ave. will also be added to enhance pedestrian safety. The overall project is expected to be completed by mid-to-late July.

What to Expect Monday, May 11 through Monday, June 8:

  • Drivers will NOT be able to access Meadowlane Rd. on the WEST side of US 195 from southbound US 195.
  • Southbound and northbound drivers will need to EXIT at Cheney-Spokane Rd., travel south to Cedar Rd., and continue to Eagle Ridge Blvd. to access the Eagle Ridge residential area.
  • Drivers will be able to access Meadowlane Rd. on the EAST side of US 195 from southbound and northbound US 195.
  • Meadowlane Rd. drivers on the east side of US 195 will be maintain access to northbound and southbound US 195 during this time.
  • Drivers traveling both north and south on US 195 will continue to experience work zone lane reductions near the Meadowlane Rd. intersection.
  • Drivers should slow down, be alert, and follow signage and flaggers when present.
