Today, 2/14/19, at approximately 3:25 PM, a male was brought into the emergency room of Sacred Heart Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Providence Security kept the people who brought the male to the ER on scene and notified police. Several SPD units responded and interviewed the parties. Information was developed that the incident occurred at a residence in the 2000 block of E 6th Ave.
Multiple units responded to the residence, including on duty SWAT and TAC units. The residence was checked to ensure there were no other victims inside. Once the scene was safe, it was secured until Major Crimes detectives could respond.
The victim has serious injuries, but is expected to live.
Major Crimes detectives responded and the investigation is continuing.
