Officers make an arrest at an occupied burglary. A resident in Kendall Yards woke to find a man sleeping on her bedroom floor. Officers took Nicholas P. Anderson (26) into custody.

This morning, around 6:30 a.m., a resident at 1200 W. College woke to find a man sleeping on her bedroom floor. The victim got out of her residence, called 911 and waited in a safe location.

Officers arrived on scene and found Anderson inside the residence. Officers took him into custody without incident.

Anderson was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Residential Burglary and Theft 2nd Degree. Anderson has numerous prior felony arrests to include one from an Idaho burglary incident.

Being home, and asleep, when someone breaks into your home is a frightening experience. This incident can be a reminder to residents to double check their doors are locked and windows are secure every night.
