Repeat Domestic Violence Perpetrator Arrested

3:30 p.m. - SPD locates, contains and arrests repeat domestic violence perpetrator. He was booked into jail on seven felony domestic violence charges.

DUI Crash

11:03 a.m. - SPD and SFD responded to a car crash where the vehicle ran through a house. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.

SPD Responds To a Domestic Violence Call

10:56 a.m. - SPD responded to a domestic violence call. When Officers moved in to make an arrest, the suspect used his child as a shield to avoid going to jail.

DUI Emphasis Patrol

5:08 p.m. - SPD participates in statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign, now through Labor Day

SPD Responds To a Report Kidnapping

3:45 p.m. - Spokane Police Officers respond to a reported assault and wind up investigating a kidnapping.

SPD Responds To Drive-By Shooting

3:43 p.m. - The Spokane Police Department responds to another drive by shooting.

3:41 p.m. - Spokane Police respond to an Injury Accident at Nevada and Lincoln

Fatal Collision

3:40 p.m. - Officers respond to a fatal collision at N. Aubrey L White Parkway and W Rifle Club road.

Reckless Driving Arrest Leads to SIX Illegally Possessed Firearms

7:59 p.m. - An officer on a break from court Monday saw a reckless driver on North Division. In the end, the driver was booked for 8 felonies and 3 misdemeanors.

Third Drive-By Shooting In Two Days

11:48 a.m. - The third drive-by shooting in two days leads to the arrest of two more convicted felons.

Two Overnight Drive-By-Shooting

2:30 p.m. - Two overnight drive-by shootings occurred in Spokane. A police pursuit led to an arrest in the one of the shootings.

3:37 p.m. - SPD Mission Focus on property crimes in the West Central neighborhood nets a car prowler armed with 2 pit bulls

3:38 p.m. - Spokane Police Department Patrol Officers respond to a malicious mischief call and end up in a standoff with an arsonist perched on a cliff.

Explosive Disposal Unit renders device safe outside Sacred Heart

3:55 a.m. - A small pipe bomb was rendered safe by the Explosive Disposal Unit

3 p.m. - Man arrested for strangling the mother of two of his children is released without a no contact order in place

Motorcycle rider dies after losing control on Nevada St/N Foothills Dr

8:50 p.m. - Spokane Police responded to the report of a vehicle versus motorcycle collision on N Nevada St near E Euclid Ave.

Northwest Spokane Has Two Armed Robberies in Three Hours

3:14 p.m. - SPD responds to two armed robberies at a Zip Trip gas stations, they have one suspect in custody and are still searching for at least one more.

Convicted Felon Arrested Again For Lewd Behavior

1:27 p.m. - Septuagenarian with lengthy criminal history arrested for indecent exposure in store parking lot.

Auto Pedestrian Collision with Life Threatening Injuries

12:40 p.m. - Officers responded to an auto vs pedestrian collision with life threatening injuries as well as the resulting altercations stemming from the collision

Road Rage Incident

12:36 p.m. - SPD responds to reports of a road rage incident that involves a gun, a knife, a knocked out tooth, and ends in a DUI arrest.

Reckless/DUI Driver Threatens Police Officer

9:27 a.m. - Reckless driver threatens fellow motorist before realizing the person he is threatening is a police officer. Gets arrested for DUI.

Officers Respond To Stabbing At Witter Aquatic Center

9:21 a.m. - Argument over parking turns to a fight, leaving two males stabbed.

Drive by Shooting

9:07 a.m. - SPD Officers respond to a drive by shooting in the area of 4th and Magnolia. Officers found a residence in the area with several bullet holes.

1:28 p.m. - Early morning stabbing in north Spokane becomes another homicide.

Aug. 12

Alderman Twins Arrested For Cyberstalking

4:36 p.m. - Twin sisters arrested for a combined 18 counts of cyberstalking for sending death threats and images of dead/mutilated animals online.

SPD arrests subject who tried to throw victim off Monroe St Bridge.

1:01 a.m. - SPD quickly arrests suspect who, after a brief interaction, lifted a victim up and partially over the Monroe St Bridge railing

2:33 p.m. - Officers need the public’s help locating the owner of an item seized from a convicted felon's car.

Aug. 10

Riverfront Park Gun Incident

8:54 a.m. - On Sunday morning a male went through downtown threatening numerous people, assaulting a couple and threatened another with a handgun.

Ash DUI Crash

8:49 a.m. - Another DUI collision in north Spokane has left a homeowner with a large mess to clean up and a fence to repair.

Major Crimes Detectives Investigated a Homicide in Browne’s Addition

8:41 a.m. - Major Crimes investigated a homicide in Browne’s Addition. The investigation concluded with the arrest of a male for Murder 2nd degree.

Wanted Man Taken Into Custody

8:35 a.m. - Wanted felony assault suspect from King County was located in Spokane and taken into custody.

SIIR Team Investigating Officer Involved Shooting

8:29 a.m. - Two SPD officers were involved in an Officer Involved Shooting incident. The officers fired their service weapons at an armed robbery suspect.

Burglar arrested when he attempted to return to the scene.

1:17 a.m. - Burglar arrested in stolen vehicle when he attempted to return to the scene of the crime.

8:12 a.m. - Major Crimes Detectives make an arrest in the fatal shooting from last week on east Nebraska.
